MP&T's new Trip Saver Shuck is designed to fish full size and worn couplings. It will easily
slip over a full size coupling, but because of the unique design of the inside catching shouIder, it creates a larger bite under the coupling. This gives the operator a better chance to catch and pull a worn coupling on the first trip. It fits the overshot socket in place of the slip unit. No new socket to buy, just replace your slip unit with the Trip Saver Shuck and get a better bite the first trip.

MP&T guarantees it's tools to be free of material and workmanship defects, all machined parts go through our rigid quality control system, which assures all parts are within blue-print tolerances and threads meet API and machinist handbook standards. All our measuring instruments are checked against precision gage blocks, which are traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. However, special oversize sockets have been developed to handle couplings with diameters too large for regular sockets. Since this requires exceptionally thin bowls, slips or slip units, the risk of tool damage is higher. Even though workmanship, material and heat treatment are correct, these oversize sockets cannot be guaranteed against damage or failure. All parts must be returned to MP&T for replacement guarantee.
